Hi again! Today I’ll be reviewing Compass Box Oak Cross. This bottle was left in my house by a friend, and after a long time, I just started drinking it for the heck of it. I’m now almost out, and will have to look into other Compass Box bottles as well. This is a great blend, probably one of the best I’ve ever had.
Price: $52.95 (CAN)
Region: Blend
Abv: 43%
Colour: Safety yellow
Nose: Powerful Vanilla, like an ex-girlfriend’s overuse of perfume… wait, of topic now… ahem, pepper, lemongrass, faint sea spray, butterscotch, faint Terry’s Orange, some other type of orange candy, light Tabasco sauce
Taste: Cointreau, chili, light oak, key lime pie, and something that I would call allspice candy, however I have never had such a thing, so I`m somewhat confused
Finish: Heavy orange followed by a heavy oak campfire, and then finally candied orange rind mixed with an earthy cumin/peat/nutmeg mix.
83/100
